# Product goal

Termux Janitor enables users to understand and reclaim storage space on their phones from within
Termux.

It is:

- pleasant to use;
- fast and responsive;
- safe by default;
- intuitive without hiding important details.

Users can understand proposed storage changes before authorizing them and confidently verify what
happened afterward.

`Fast and responsive` is not a subjective claim: responsiveness is the registered
input-acknowledgement and turn bounds in [`LIMITS.md`](LIMITS.md), and speed is budgeted in
[`PERFORMANCE.md`](PERFORMANCE.md).

[`PRODUCT.md`](PRODUCT.md) defines the binding behavior and safety guarantees that realize this goal.
