# uv Keep Python dependency work consistent with `uv` instead of mixing package managers. ## Use Install `uv`, then use Pi normally. There is nothing to invoke. When Pi tries to run `pip`, `pip3`, `poetry`, `python -m pip`, `python -m venv`, or `python -m py_compile`, Pi blocks that command and shows an appropriate `uv` alternative. For example, ask Pi to add a dependency and it should use: ```text uv add rich ``` This extension does not change commands run inside scripts.
