--- id: NL-SPEC-F3E26F58 type: spec title: Launcher popup --- # Launcher popup ## Behavior - The launcher presents one full-width result list without a duplicate preview or provider chips. - It searches applications, actions, calculator results, clipboard rows, and windows. - `=` selects calculator, `>` selects actions, and `clip ` selects clipboard. - An unprefixed query searches all providers. - Matching supports exact, prefix, word-boundary subsequence, loose subsequence, and substring results. - Stronger matches rank first. - Application rows show themed icons with a provider-glyph fallback; other providers use distinct glyphs. - Rows show title and concise lowercase verb and subtitle metadata. - Calculator results emphasize the computed value and copy it on activation. - Empty queries list applications in title order. - Up and down change selection; Enter activates the selected result. ## Constraints - Calculator input accepts only the existing numeric operator grammar. - Rejected or non-finite expressions produce no result. - Usage records remain telemetry and do not affect ranking. - Missing window or clipboard data contributes no rows and does not fail the launcher. - Existing application, window, calculator, clipboard, and action routes retain their effects. - Existing launcher IPC remains available and stable. - Search responses expose functional state without view narration. ## Acceptance - Pure checks prove prefix parsing, score ordering, subsequence matches, misses, calculator rejection, icons, provider filtering, and ranking. - Runtime self-test passes. - A live visual check confirms icons and fallbacks, all providers, calculator copying, and keyboard selection. - The launcher has no decorative bottom stripe.
