# Git Review

Review is read-only: do not edit source, commit, push, merge, or publish feedback.
Fetching refs and creating an isolated worktree for tests are allowed.

## Procedure

1. Resolve the requested base and head revisions; ask when the comparison is ambiguous.
2. Record the caller's branch, working-tree state, and exact resolved commit IDs.
3. Fetch explicitly requested remote revisions when needed, then pin their commit IDs.
4. Preserve the caller's checkout.
   Inspect pinned objects directly or use an isolated worktree for tests.
5. Produce the exact `base...head` diff and make relevant source, callers, tests, documentation, and configuration available for inspection.
6. Run requested checks in the isolated worktree when they are part of the read-only workflow.
7. Report the pinned commits, comparison, checkout location, and checks without applying review or approval policy.
8. Stop at the report.
