# 06: IPC control This example exposes explicitly typed functions through `IpcHandler`. The handler target is `mybar`. After starting the configuration in an isolated runtime, inspect and call it with the installed CLI: ```sh qs ipc show qs ipc call mybar show qs ipc call mybar hide qs ipc call mybar toggle qs ipc call mybar setText "hello" ``` `IpcHandler` signals are observed with `qs ipc wait` or `qs ipc listen` when supported by the installed version. They are not consumed through an invented cross-process `IpcHandler.ipcBus` object. The installed `qmllint` may not handle dynamically declared, explicitly typed `IpcHandler` functions. A non-zero result without diagnostics is not proof that the example is invalid or valid. Cross-check the exact function syntax against the installed `IpcHandler` type page, then use an isolated load and IPC test. Static checking does not prove IPC registration or calls.
