# 03: clock panel

This example uses `PanelWindow`, not `FloatingWindow`.
`PanelWindow` provides screen-edge anchors and margins.
`SystemClock.date` gives the text binding a reactive dependency.

The panel anchors to the top edge and uses a calculated left margin for horizontal placement.
It does not use `WlrLayershell` on a `FloatingWindow`.

Static check:

Static checking does not prove final placement, typography, or appearance above other windows.
Those require visual acceptance in an isolated compositor or explicitly approved session.
