# Email platform direction is unresolved

Mail-in-a-Box migration and a custom Stalwart stack were proposed as mutually exclusive replacements.
Neither was accepted or implemented.
The Mail-in-a-Box proposal also contradicted itself on architecture and machine family.

Current infrastructure still depends on `box.bugabinga.net` for mail and DNS management.
Create no migration phase or plan until an explicit specification selects a direction.
